It is officially over :-(. I cannot believe how quickly this semester flew by and how much I learned. I have developed such strong relationships with my students and with my cooperating teacher. It is so sad to leave them (for now). I am already planning to return and visit several times :-). I really could not just leave and never come back!
This week we have learned a lot about money, what different coins and bills look like and how to count money. In science, we worked with combining solids and liquids! In writing, we have been learning how to organize our opinions into booklets which will eventually lead to the format of a five-paragraph essay. I was also able to see my students perform their Spring Concert! They did wonderful!
The generosity of my students, their parents, and my cooperating teacher was incredible on my last day. I now have many books to build my classroom library, supplies to fill my future teacher desk, and more. I cannot express in words how thankful I am for them thinking of me and making me feel so appreciated. However, it is not the material things that made me feel so wonderful, but the time that I spent in this amazing school with these amazing people.
