Today in math we worked on figuring out if objects were flat or curved. Students used a lot of exciting manipulative to help them learn about that.
In science, we had our test!!
For writing workshop, our focus today was dialog. We learned that there are many ways to add conversation into our stories and we learned about speaker tags. We watched: http://vimeo.com/54262361 and read from Henry and Mudge. Remember, quotation marks "trap" the conversation and should only be around the words that we being spoken!
In reading workshop, students were to post "thinking marks" that showed they were thinking while they were reading. Check out the thinking marks that we were using:

Remember, we can do this by looking at the cover and title, as well as talking a picture walk and reading the first page.
