Before we began math today, I complimented my students on their great success during the math assessment that we had yesterday! Today in math we did some more work with word problems.
Next, when our students were in special, my cooperating teacher and I went to PLC.
During writing, our students learned how to "show not tell" and they are going to add "show not tell" into their realistic fiction stories. We gave an example of a great "show not tell" and a not so great one. Students voted on which one was better. They totally understood!! Afterwards, they kept on writing!
In reading, their focus was on the main character. While reading, students were inferring emotions of the main character in their book.
