Happy First Day of Spring!!
Today in Math we continued working with flat and curves shapes. Students observed and discussed in groups how many curved and flat sides shapes had and recorded them. Then, they discussed if and why different shapes can slide, stack, roll, or all of the above. Check out this fun video we watched about shapes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnJVF2aeic8
Today was a double special day and my cooperating teacher and I met with our PLC.
During Writing Workshop we put "said" to bed! We learned about different ways to say "said" in our stories. We must keep in mind that those words that we choose we replace "said" have to make sense in our story and relate to how our character is feeling. We watched this fun video to help us with our lesson: http://www.topmarks.co.uk/interactive.aspx?cat=47
We focused on working with our thinking marks once again in Reading Workshop and my cooperating teacher and I met with guided reading groups.
