In writing, we worked on a dedication and title page for our realistic fiction stories. They are almost ready to be published!! Students helped my cooperating teacher pick out a great title and then they created a catchy title for themselves.
In reading workshop, we worked on close reading. Students were able to successfully come up to the board and underline the proof in the text that helped them answer questions. Also, during independent reading time, students read and marked their pages with things that they were wondering about, found interesting, questioned, etc.
